Kathy Haley, fifth grade teacher at Caldwell Elementary Arts Academy, received the highly honored GM Award during the 2016 District Convocation last week at Robert E. Lee High School. The GM Award, sponsored by Hall Buick GMC and named after former Tyler ISD Superintendent Gary Mooring, honors exemplary staff members who exhibit integrity, commitment, strength of character and a love for Tyler ISD! Ms. Haley was chosen among eight employees who received A+ Teams honors last spring. Congratulations, Ms. Haley!
The Food Services Department is accepting applications for the free & reduced lunch program. Parents/Guardians can apply online or complete a paper application (available in the Food Services office), but do not need to do both. Upon completion of either application a letter detailing approval or denial of benefits will be sent to the address on file for the student. Online applications are processed daily.
Online Registration is now available for the 2016-2017 School Year! Online registration will replace paper registration packets sent home the first day of school.

Middle School - 8:25 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
High School - 8:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
CTC - 8:07 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
ECHS - 8:10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) today released the 2016 State Accountability System Ratings for school districts and charter schools across the state and Tyler ISD is extremely pleased with the results.
The Tyler Independent School District has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.
Tyler ISD’s graduating class has reported receiving more than $17 million in college scholarships. Graduates from Robert E. Lee High School and John Tyler High School plan to attend a variety of colleges, technical schools and military branches.
Officers from the Tyler ISD Police Department attended the Winona ISD graduation ceremony recently to celebrate the accomplishments of graduate Dawson Rider.
