Happy Principals Appreciation Day! 🎉 Huge thanks to our Lead Eagle, Brandy Baker — for your compassion, vision, and leadership to our whole campus . 🦅
Our kindergarten friends had the BEST day at Camp Tyler! We explored, learned, and made so many fun memories together. And just when we thought the day couldn’t get any better… the rain held off until we were safely on the bus ride home! We are so thankful for a wonderful day full of adventure, laughter, and a little extra luck with the weather!
Our kindergarten artists had so much fun getting creative in art class with Mrs. Waters!
Students designed their very own “mini me” using cardboard, adding special details to show what makes them unique including their favorite outfits and biggest smiles. It was such a joy to see their personalities shine through each masterpiece!

Today I want to take a moment to celebrate and uplift our incredible Owens Elementary Assistant Principals. 💙
The work you do is not easy. It requires long days, hard conversations, quick decisions, and a constant balancing act of supporting students, staff, and families. Yet somehow, you carry it all with such grace, compassion, and strength.
You are problem-solvers, encouragers, protectors, and leaders all in one. You step into challenges without hesitation, advocate fiercely for what’s right, and always keep kids at the heart of every decision. Even on the toughest days, you lead with calm, kindness, and integrity and that does not go unnoticed.
Thank you for the countless unseen moments, the extra hours, the steady leadership, and the grace you show in every situation. We appreciate you more than words can say.
Celebrating student-driven learning: our 4th graders delivered a Living Museum of Women's History, developing research-backed presentations, embodying influential figures, presenting on school announcements, and conducting classroom visits. What a great example of experiential learning in action.
We are so grateful to our Owens PTA for treating our teachers to a fun “Price Is Right” experience—complete with grants and classroom items to support learning! 🎉
Thank you Owens PTA for your continued support and for helping create a thriving, successful learning environment for both our teachers and students!

🎉 Two amazing readers just crushed their sight word books! 📚 A huge congratulations to Carter Cashion and Christian Kozlowski! Nothing beats celebrating milestones with pizza from Mrs. Smith and ice cream from Mrs. Baker. What a fantastic representation of a love for knowledge and reading!
