πFamilar Face Fridayπ
Please join us in celebrating Mrs. Boyd as she takes on a new role at Owens! After making a huge impact in the classroom, sheβs stepping into a new role as our Media Technology Specialist and will be working in our libraryπ
Her passion, dedication, and love for our students continue to shineβjust in a new space! ππ
Weβre so lucky to keep her talent in our school family. Here is a bit about Mrs. Boyd:
I have been at Owens for almost six years now! Before being hired, I student-taught at Owens in 2nd grade and then in 1st grade, and I fell in love with the students, teachers, and the community. I served as a 1st grade teacher for two years, then transitioned to Kindergarten, where I taught for three years.
I have always known that I wanted to do more for the students at Owens and be a support system for the teachers. When hearing this position was available, I felt called to make a greater impact on our school.
I am most excited to teach all of the students who have graced my classroom over the years and continue to love on them as they grow! My goal is to ignite a passion for reading and a love for learning in our library. I am also incredibly excited to work closely with our amazing staff at Owens and to remain in the school that has always felt like home. I cannot wait for this year!
Join us in congratulating Mrs. Boyd on her new adventure here at Owens!π¦
