Mrs. Freeman’s 5th grade reading students are building deeper comprehension using hexagonal thinking to make connections between paired passages. 📚🧠 Students are linking ideas and explaining their thinking while collaborating with peers—great work, readers! 👏✨

Lucky to Learn! 🍀🌈 Mrs. Busby's kindergarten class wrote about why they're lucky and created their own ‘Over the Rainbow’ masterpieces!

🍩📊 Data & Donuts! Families joined us to hear students share their data binders and celebrate their growth from the school year. When students understand and explain their own data, they build confidence and take ownership of their learning! 📚✨

🤠 It’s Rootin’ Tootin’ Tuesday, and we’re celebrating two more of our amazing Toy Story stars — Ms. Payne and Ms. Electra! 🌟 Ms. Payne has been incredibly flexible as a long-term sub, working in small groups to close academic gaps and boost student success, while Ms. Electra ensures her students always have full access to learning through her dedication as a Deaf Ed interpreter. We’re so thankful for the heart and commitment they bring to our campus each day! 💛✨

📚✨ In Case You Missed It… Our Living History Museum! Students researched influential African-American historical figures, created trifold projects, and delivered speeches—many even dressed the part! As families toured, students confidently shared their learning and brought history to life. Thank you to our amazing parents and families for helping with projects, practicing speeches, and supporting this special event! 👏🏽✨

Ms. Katie’s 5th grade art students have been hard at work using clay to design and create their own functional whistles! This unique art form dates back thousands of years, giving students the opportunity to connect their creativity with history while learning new techniques in sculpture and design.

Even more impressive, this is a higher-level project typically introduced in middle school — and our 5th graders are rising to the challenge beautifully. Their focus, problem-solving, and craftsmanship have truly been on display throughout this hands-on experience! 🎨👏

✏️📚 Ms. Graves’ kindergarten class took their writing to the next level today! Using picture writing prompts, students carefully studied the images and turned their ideas into complete sentences. 🖼️➡️📝 It was amazing to see their creativity come to life as they transformed what they saw into written words. We are so proud of these growing writers! 🌟👏
