2nd grade had a blast at the zoo-learning about animal life cycles and habitats! After a day of learning at the zoo, they returned to campus to witness part of their butterflies' life cycles with a release of their butterflies!

Our after school Mahjong Social was a great time of learning, laughter, and friendly competition! Teachers had the opportunity to learn how to play and try something new together. Congratulations to Mrs. Carrie Bailey for coming out on top as our Mahjong winner! 🀄🎉

🍩🐝 D is for Donut Dash! 🐝🍩
Today was “D Day” in our ABC Countdown for Pre-K and Kindergarten, and it was full of fun, teamwork, and coding! Mrs. Busby and Mrs. Utz’s classes took on a Bee-Bot Donut Dash STEM challenge, where students worked together to code their Bee-Bots to reach a donut—without getting caught in the net!
Students showed great problem-solving skills, teamwork, and perseverance as they tested and adjusted their codes. Even some of our 1st graders joined in on the fun during rainy indoor recess! ☔️💻

Our 5th graders are on a mission! 💪🇺🇸 Today they geared up for the Science STAAR with an action-packed “Bootcamp” experience—complete with a military theme to build stamina, teamwork, and confidence. From reviewing key concepts to tackling challenges like true science warriors, these students are ready to report for duty tomorrow and give it their all. We’re proud of their hard work and determination—go crush it, 5th grade! 🧪✨

4th grade celebrated their strengths & threw away their worries yesterday as they prepared for another day of testing.

Day 2 of our ABC Countdown was all about the letter B! 💙🫧
Our Pre-K and Kindergarten students rocked their blue outfits and had a blast blowing bubbles while reviewing the letter B. Learning is always more fun when you can dress up and play along the way! 🎉

Mrs. Craft’s 4th grade class is turning up the heat on math review! 🔥 Students had a blast playing “The Floor is Lava” while practicing skills for their upcoming test. Each correct answer kept them safe and moving—what a fun way to stay engaged and build confidence before next week! 💪📚

Students enjoyed reading "Diary of a Worm" in the library with Ms. Kinney, then dove into some hands-on fun! They experimented with sour gummy worms by measuring, observing color changes, and exploring texture and taste. To top it off, they got up close with real earthworms—bringing their learning to life in the most exciting (and wiggly!) way!
Learning is always better when it’s this engaging! 💚
🚒 Our Pre-K students had an exciting field trip to Tyler Fire Station #10! They toured the station, explored the firefighters’ tools, and learned all about the daily life of a firefighter. ❤️👩🚒👨🚒

📚✏️ Learning in action! In Mrs. Daniell’s PK Class, students are exploring library books at a station and identifying the most common words they recognize from Reading Horizons. It’s exciting to see them apply their skills and make real connections through reading! 💡📖
Yesterday, our 3rd & 4th grades wrote all of their worries down & threw them away. Then, 3rd created a chain of strengths & 4th created worry stones to hold when they get discouraged.
We are so proud of our learners & can't wait to see them SHINE bright today!

Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Kinney had an incredible time at Youth Code Jam hosted by UT Tyler, sharing their passion for STEM and robotics with students across East Texas! 🤖💡 From augmented reality using Merge Cubes to hands-on challenges with Dash & Dot Robots—including Winter Olympics Hockey 🏒 and Egg Launch fun 🥚🚀—they showcased the innovative learning happening right here at our school.
