This week Mrs. Freeman's 5th graders have been reading the book Holes by Louis Sachar. As they were listening to the chapters they worked on their Graffiti Chart where they visualized and doodled about the events of the book so far. πͺπ³οΈ π¦ βοΈ π π§ πͺ

Today we hosted Nacho Average Behavior Parties! Part 1π π











We are the proud owners of a baby chick! Our science classes are learning about life cycles, and we have a live stream going to monitor the hatching of our chicken eggs. π₯ π£ π₯


4th grade used their knowledge of area and perimeter to create 2D robots that can do their chores at home! π§ πͺ π€











Earlier this week coding club used Makey Makey circuits and bananas to make MUSIC! πΆ π π§ πͺ

Today our librarian and MTS, Mrs. Kinney, celebrated all 3rd - 5th graders who completed their 20 Book Challenge with a pizza party in the courtyard! π π π§ πͺ

Ms. Ruesewald's 2nd graders are discovering what they can learn about a culture from studying different cultural celebrations. This week they are learning about Day of the Dead! π²π½ π§ πͺ








This week 1st grade is learning how to write letters to someone! βοΈ They are practicing writing the date, salutation, body, and signature. π¬ βοΈ









Getting ready for STAAR the LAVA WAY!
Reading started with cooling off outside with a book. Then, the 4th graders prepared themselves to enter the volcano π that erupted in their classroom over the night. Students had to complete 20 math problems to escape the lava mountain. ποΈ
Students who got "burned" had to make it to the pond in rocket time to cool off! π πΎ




3rd grade survived Emoji Island today! They are ready to master the math STAAR! π€π§ πΎ

Mrs. Mercer's 4th graders are preparing for math STAAR next week! Yesterday, they played a review game and students could hunt for Easter eggs in the classroom to earn points or cute bunnies! π° π§ πͺ










Our 2nd graders are taking advantage of the warmer weather!
Ms. Ruesewald took her 2nd grade classes out on a field trip to the Clarkston outdoors to identify and find plants in different stages of the plant cycle.
