🥚🔬Mrs. Smith’s class learned about chemical changes with a hands-on egg experiment! Students observed an egg before and after heat and discovered that cooking it is a chemical change because it can’t return to its original form. 🧪 Best of all—they got to eat the experiment! 🍳😋

🔎👀 Authority Figures: FOUND! ✅ Our 1st grade Cougars took Social Studies on the move with an Authority Figure Scavenger Hunt around campus! 🐾 Students searched for the people who help lead, support, and keep our school running each day. ❤️🖤 Learning is always more fun when you get to explore! 🏫✨

5th grade detectives were hard at work this week-using properties of matter to find the guilty suspect! 🕵️‍♂️🧪

🚀 Launching into Learning! 🐾🔬 Our 1st Grade Cougars put science into action by designing and testing their very own catapults! Students explored how parts work together as a system while connecting their learning to classifying objects. Building, testing, adjusting, and launching—science is always more fun when learning takes flight! 🎯✨

🤝 Teamwork Tuesday! 🤝 Our Cougars took on the Paper Balance Race during Morning Meeting! 🐾📄 Students had to balance, move, and help “frozen” teammates—all without dropping their own paper! Teamwork, communication, and a whole lot of fun! 💪

Mark your calendars for an exciting evening of community, collaboration, and fun! On Monday, September 14, 2026, Clarkston is opening its doors for our annual Open House from 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm.
This is a wonderful opportunity to come learn alongside your child and see firsthand what makes our school community so special. Families and students will get to participate in engaging, grade-level learning activities together throughout the night.
The evening kicks off right at 5:30 pm with a warm family welcome and our first PTA meeting of the school year. Afterward, you can choose from two dedicated classroom learning sessions: Session 1 runs from 5:50 pm to 6:05 pm, followed by Session 2 from 6:10 pm to 6:25 pm. To wrap up the night, we invite everyone to visit our Team Center and stop by our Parent Portal help station between 6:25 pm and 6:45 pm to get all your digital school accounts set up for success.
As an extra bonus, every student who attends will be entered into a raffle to win free Clarkston swag! We cannot wait to see all of our amazing families there.

☀️ ➕ Math is on the move in Mrs. Hunter’s 2nd grade! ➕ ☀️ Our mathematicians took learning outside for a fun Scoot the Number Line activity! 🏃‍♀️🔢🏃‍♂️ Students moved from problem to problem, putting their number sense skills into action while enjoying some fresh air. Who says math has to stay inside the classroom? 💡

🍎🍊🍋 Science is pretty sweet! 🍓🍇🍉 Ms.Shilling's classes put science into action by using fruit to measure, compare, and investigate mass and density! Hands-on learning gave students a chance to make observations, test their thinking, and see science concepts come to life. 🔬⚖️
