🎃 Read, Paint, Win! Clarkston Library Announces "Pumpkin Character Contest" Clarkston Elementary — Get ready to bring your favorite book characters to life in a whole new way this October! The Clarkston library has officially announced its Pumpkin Character Contest, combining autumn fun with literary flair, and the entire Clarkston family community is invited to join. To enter, students simply need to decorate a real or Styrofoam pumpkin to look like a beloved character from a book. To keep the display fresh and clean for everyone, the library has issued a couple of strict rules: no carving and no candy allowed! Lean into paint, fabric, and your own creativity instead. Best of all, every single participant will be automatically entered into a raffle to win Campfire Magic Book Fair Bucks, which can be spent like real cash at the upcoming book fair! Ready to get crafting? You can start bringing your completed pumpkin characters to the library on October 5th. The absolute final deadline to submit your masterpiece is October 15th. Gather your paints, pick your favorite book, and let’s fill the library with a patch of magical storybook pumpkins! For more details, stop by the front desk or check out the event flyer.

Pumpkin picking, ghost hunting, and some crazy dress up attire have our staff rocking ROCKtober! 🎃 We are grateful for our crew and the fun they bring to Cougar Nation! If you come through our car line this month, you'll see ROCKtober has our staff rocking some fun! 😆🐾

✏️➕ Writing meets math in 2nd grade! Our Cougars put their thinking into words today as they solved problems and explained the reasoning behind their answers. Building strong mathematicians means learning not just to find the answer—but to explain the “why” behind it! 🧠💡🐾

🎯 What Would You Do Wednesday? 🎯 This week Mrs. Smith’s 2nd graders tackled The Game Dispute! 🎲 Students discussed how they could make the situation worse or better while practicing eye contact, active listening, facing the speaker, and quality handshakes. 🤝👀👂 Learning real-life social skills one Wednesday at a time! 💛
