Mrs. Andersonβs 3rd grade math students are proving that learning never stops! ππ
Even with a fire drill, tornado drill, and a field trip on the schedule, there was no wasted instructional time in her classroom. Before heading out, her students were up and actively showing their math thinking on vertical learning boardsβengaged, collaborating, and confidently explaining their strategies!
Way to maximize every minute and keep the focus on learning, Mrs. Anderson! πβ¨

Mrs. Craftβs 4th grade reading students are leveling up their thinking! πβ¨
Yesterday, students worked on hexagonal thinking to strengthen their text connection skills and boost their performance data on this standard. They carefully created their webs, making meaningful connections between ideas, while Mrs. Craft provided feedback to push their thinking even deeper.
Tomorrow, theyβll take it a step further by creating a video to upload to Google Classroom, explaining their entire web and the connections they made. We love seeing students take ownership of their learning and grow in their ability to think critically about what they read! ππ

ππ₯ Nothing but NETβ¦ knowledge! π₯π
Miss Browningβs 4th graders took content knowledge to the court with a fast-paced game of Trashketball! ποΈπ

π§π 4th Grade Hydration Station Celebration! ππ§
On Friday, our 4th graders celebrated their Unit 4 Reading Assessment growth in the sweetest way β with a Hydration Station! π₯€β¨
These students have been working HARD on comprehension, constructed responses, vocabulary, and truly thinking deeper about what they read. Their growth showedβ¦ and we celebrated it! π
Each student created their own custom hydration cup and enjoyed a refreshing treat while we recognized the progress theyβve made this unit. Growth looks different for everyone β but effort, perseverance, and determination were on full display in our classroom! πͺπ
We are so proud of the way these students:
βοΈ Stayed focused
βοΈ Pushed through challenging texts
βοΈ Improved their written responses
βοΈ Encouraged one another
We donβt just celebrate high scores β we celebrate growth. π
Way to go, 4th grade! Keep reading, keep growing, and keep shining! β€οΈ

ππͺ Out of This World Learning in 3rd Grade! πͺπ
Shilling's 3rd Grade Science class has been busy exploring the solar system! πβ¨
Students worked in research groups to dive deep into their assigned planets. They used technology, books, and teamwork to gather facts, discuss findings, and create large, detailed posters to teach others about their planet.
From Mercury to Saturn to Uranus and Earth β these students became true planet experts! π
Throughout this project, they practiced:
π Research skills
π¬ Academic discussions
π€ Collaboration & teamwork
π Informational writing
π¨ Creative presentation
The best part? Watching them problem-solve together, divide responsibilities, and take pride in their finished projects. The confidence they showed while explaining their planet facts was incredible!
Science is so much more than memorizing facts β itβs curiosity, collaboration, and discovery. And these 3rd graders showed ALL of it! π«
We are so proud of their hard work and dedication. The future astronomers in this room are shining bright! π
