Birdwell Dual Language Immersion 2nd and 3rd graders went back in time to the 1950s to celebrate the 55th day of school in style! The halls were filled with poodle skirts, leather jackets, and classic tunes as students enjoyed a fun-filled ββ50s Car Showβ and danced along to La Bamba.
Adding to the excitement, Mr. Yun channeled his inner Elvis with a special performance that had everyone singing along! Parents joined in the fun, volunteering to serve delicious Coke floats while dressed in their own 1950s-inspired outfits.
It was a rockinβ good time celebrating 55 days of learning and fun at Birdwell! πΆππΊ

Weβre so proud of all your hard work on the fundraiser! Ask your parents if they
can take your $2 items to their work and see if their co-workers want to help
support your school. You can also sell at church or after-school sportsβjust
remember to follow safety rules: no door-to-door selling and always have an
adult with you. Remember, if you sell 2 boxes, youβll win the blast party prize!

Middle school Student Council members participated in a special Hispanic Heritage activity where each student selected a notable Hispanic figure to represent. Dressed in character, they visited elementary classrooms to share information about their chosen personβs life and accomplishments. Students stayed in character while answering questions from the younger students, making history come alive in a fun and engaging way. It was a wonderful experience for our middle schoolers to connect with and inspire the younger students on campus.
