Our Pre-K students in Ms. Valle’s class had a hands-on cultural learning experience this week as they made homemade tortillas! 🫓 Students learned about traditions, cooking techniques, and the importance of family recipes while practicing teamwork and fine motor skills. The smiles on their faces showed just how much fun learning can be! ❤️
🎉 Kindergarten had an amazing time on their field trip to Chuck E. Cheese today! 🍕🕹️ Students learned all about push and pull forces and then got to put their learning into action through fun, hands-on games and activities. It was exciting to see our little learners connect science concepts to real-world experiences while making wonderful memories together! 💡✨ Learning + fun = a perfect day for Kindergarten! ❤️

Yesterday our 5th graders had an unforgettable adventure! They visited the Dallas Cowboys Training Facility and got an inside look at where hard work, teamwork, and dedication come to life. They also explored the incredible immersive world of Meow Wolf – The Real Unreal, where creativity and imagination were around every corner. What a fun day full of learning, exploration, and memories our students will never forget! 💙⭐🎨
Birdwell teachers went undercover this week with some fun dress-up days! 🎤🎶 Monday’s “Dress Like a Music Icon” brought lots of creativity, and Tuesday’s “Everything But a Cup Day” gave everyone a good laugh with the unique drink containers! 😂💙💛

Our 8th grade NJHS and Student Council students had an unforgettable opportunity during their behind-the-scenes tour at Caldwell Zoo! 🦒🐅
Students learned about animal care, conservation efforts, daily zoo operations, and the important work that goes into keeping the zoo running smoothly. From meeting staff members to exploring areas guests normally do not see, this experience gave our students a unique look into teamwork, leadership, and responsibility in action.

From budding entrepreneurs sharing their innovative ideas and business cards, to creative engineers designing impressive Rube Goldberg machines, our students showcased learning at its finest. They took us on a journey through ancient civilizations, demonstrated incredible architectural designs, and even created their own interactive game boards.
From 1st through 5th grade, these students confidently presented their projects and showed how powerful cross-disciplinary learning can be. Most importantly, they had a blast sharing their creativity, hard work, and knowledge with others!

During their trip, students visited the Texas State Capitol, the The Alamo, and the beautiful San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, bringing history to life in such a meaningful way. 🎓

Birdwell students were treated to a vibrant celebration of Mexican culture as Mexico 2000 Ballet Folklórico took the stage! 💃🌺 The dancers captivated our students with their beautifully choreographed performances, showcasing traditional music and the rich heritage of Mexico. The colorful, flowing dresses and energetic movements brought so much joy and excitement to the room. Experiences like this help our students connect with culture in a meaningful and unforgettable way. Thank you to the talented performers for sharing their passion with us! 🇲🇽✨
