Today we celebrate one of the very best—our incredible Administrative Assistant, Melissa Jaimes! 💙 Ms. Jaimes keeps everything running smoothly at Birdwell with her organization, dedication, and always a warm smile. She is often the first face our families see and the friendly voice that helps everyone feel welcome and supported. From handling a million tasks behind the scenes to jumping in wherever needed, she truly does it all! We are so grateful for all she does for our students, staff, and community. Birdwell wouldn’t be the same without her! Happy Administrative Assistant Day, Ms. Jaimes! 🎉

Our 2nd graders had an unforgettable day exploring the great outdoors at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center! 🐟🌿 Students learned all about native Texas fish, conservation, and even got up close with some amazing aquatic life. From feeding fish to exploring exhibits, it was a hands-on adventure full of curiosity and discovery! Thank you to everyone who helped make this field trip such a fun and educational experience for our students! 💙

We are proud to share that Ms. Rodriguez, Ms. Salas, and Angelmarie Salazar attended the Rotary Club recognition event! This special event honors outstanding middle school students chosen by their teachers, as well as the Secondary Teacher of the Year.

Our 5th graders are finding their calm before the STAAR test 🧘‍♀️✨ From relaxing yoga stretches to a little spa moment with cucumbers for their eyes, they’re learning the importance of taking care of their minds and bodies. We’re so proud of how they’re preparing with confidence and calm—ready to shine!

Our 1st graders had an unforgettable day at Piney Park! 🌳☀️ From exploring the outdoors to enjoying lots of active play, our students had the chance to learn, laugh, and make lasting memories together. There’s nothing better than seeing smiles, teamwork, and a little adventure in the fresh air! 💚 Thank you to everyone who helped make this field trip such a fun and special experience for our students!
