A huge thank you to all of our amazing presenters who volunteered their time to make Career Day at Birdwell such a success! 🎉 Our students loved learning about the many different careers and hearing real-life stories about your work. Your willingness to share your experiences helped inspire our students to dream big about their futures. We are so grateful for the time, energy, and enthusiasm you brought to our campus! 💙

Pre-K teachers Ms. Pujol, Ms. Valle, and Ms. Suarez welcomed families into the Birdwell library for a hands-on parent workshop! Parents created simple learning activities they can use at home to support their children’s growth and keep the learning going beyond the classroom. It was a wonderful time of creativity, collaboration, and connection between school and home. 📚✨

From hands-on experiments to interactive exhibits, our little learners were busy asking questions, making discoveries, and exploring the world around them. Learning truly comes alive when curiosity leads the way! 💡💙 We are so proud of how they represented our school and embraced every opportunity to explore, play, and grow! 🚀

We want to thank you all so much for supporting our library! We raised $4,700 for our first Read-a-Thon!!! We will still be accepting donations for the next 10 days. We are so excited about all the new books and technology we will be able to provide for our students! If your student has RAT bucks on their account through Read-a-Thon, they have 10 days to cash them in and the prizes will be sent directly to Birdwell for us to pass out. Our 6th grade girls went to University of Texas at Tyler for the Junior League sponsored Girl Power Conference! 💜 We’re so proud of these young leaders as they step onto a college campus to learn about confidence, leadership, and the power of their voices. More 120th day fun!

Birdwell students celebrated the 120th day of school by dressing up as their 120-year-old selves — complete with gray hair, suspenders, curlers, canes, and tons of personality! We’ve learned so much this year, and today was the perfect reminder that we’re growing stronger, wiser, and brighter every single day! 💛📚

Read Across America week is March 2-6 and we have some fun activities planned. Please remember that only students who have received a free dress pass as a Read-a-Thon reward, will have free dress on Thursday, March 5. They will receive a note on Tuesday if they have free dress. All other students should follow dress code procedures. Let's celebrate reading!!

We are on our way and we have raised $3900 so far in Read-a-Thon! Your student can earn a free dress pass for next Thursday, March 5, just by signing up and sending 10 text messages through the Read-a-Thon platform! The 1st grade team at Birdwell Dual Language Immersion School loved hosting our Math Workshop for parents! 🧮✨ It was a wonderful evening of learning, connection, and sharing hands-on strategies to support our young mathematicians at home. 4th grade had an amazing outdoor adventure at Camp Tyler! 🌲🔥 Students learned and practiced survival skills, explored the great outdoors, and wrapped up the day with s’mores and hotdogs — the perfect ending to an unforgettable experience! 🏕️✨

Candy Grams were delivered today and spread lots of smiles across campus! 🍬💌
