Ms. Salas' 8th grade Spanish class rang in the new year early by celebrating traditions in Spain. It is a popular tradition to eat 12 grapes at the stroke of midnight representing good luck for each month of the coming year. Students came dressed in elegant clothes to celebrate with sparkling cider.🎉
We had a blast today for Polar Express Day in the library. We are so very thankful for Birdwell PTA and how they helped make this a memorable experience for all. 🎄
On Tuesday our middle school students got to show off all their classes and electives during our annual Middle School Showcase! Bilingual students from across the district visited, and our own 5th graders got to do the preview in the afternoon. Our precious Pre-K students visited Plantation Pines Friday on their field trip. Smiles were seen and giggles were heard as they played and experienced hands-on activities.🎄🎄

We have been so blessed with extraordinary teachers at Birdwell and we want to thank some of them for their years of service with Tyler ISD. Mrs. Castro has been with the district 20 years, Mrs. Garza and Mrs. Argentin have taught with TISD 15 years, and Mrs. Aguilar and Mr. Zapico have served 10 years. Our Birdwell 1st graders had an amazing day at the TJC Earth and Space Science Center! 🦖🌋 They embarked on an exciting adventure, exploring the Earth’s distant past and the incredible transformation of dinosaurs over millions of years. 🪐💫 Hands-on activities brought the solar system to life, sparking curiosity and wonder. 🌟
