Our Kindergarten–2nd grade students recently attended a special Hand Hygiene Assembly presented by Symmetry!
Students learned about the importance of proper handwashing and how keeping their hands clean helps prevent the spread of germs. From knowing when to wash their hands to understanding the importance of using soap and water, our youngest Eagles are building healthy habits that will last a lifetime!
We love providing our students with opportunities to learn important life skills that help them stay healthy, safe, and ready to learn! A big THANK YOU to Symmetry for visiting Owens Elementary and helping our Eagles learn how to take care of themselves and others! 💙🦅

Learning is SPOOKTACULAR at Owens Elementary!
Our Kindergarten–5th grade students are learning about the human skeleton in PE while playing fun Halloween games this week. From learning about bones to staying active and having fun, students are discovering that learning can be both educational and exciting!
We love seeing our Eagles soar while learning, moving, and enjoying the Halloween spirit!

Our library has been filled with creativity, imagination, and lots of pumpkin fun! We had an amazing 118 entries in our Storybook Pumpkin Contest, and we are so proud of all the students who participated! Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade, along with our staff, cast their votes to help choose this year's winners.

RAINY DAY DISMISSAL UPDATE 🌧️
Our top priority today is keeping our students and staff safe. Due to the inclement weather, we may need to limit the number of cars loading at one time, depending on the severity of the weather. This will likely result in a longer-than-usual dismissal time.

Dolly Day was a BIG hit! 🤠💗
There’s no better way to celebrate our incredible staff during Underground Spirit Day than with a little “9 to 5” fun! We had the best time delivering Cups of Ambition and treating our staff to a little mid-day pick-me-up.
Because around here, we work 9 to 5… but our love for our Owens Eagle Staff is 24/7!
