The Husky Choir hit the ground running in January!

This past Saturday several of our band students competed in the UIL Solo and Ensemble Festival and 18 of them received a 1st Division (Superior) rating which is the highest you can get at the contest. If you see them congratulate Abigail Barnes, Mary Osteen, Jaidynn Howard, Maloree Garcia, Madison Hooks, Joseph Blackburn, Mathew Betancourt, Emilio Mandujano, Pearson Link, Bryce Freeman, Gunner Hampe, Cohen Canal, Mason Heller, Nick Vazquez, Liam Pittman, Asher Lingle, Eduardo Sanchez, and Lucas Sachez. I wish you could have all seen the moment they saw what score they got. It was one of the most amazing and wholesome moments I've had in my career. Also, just a side note, we had more students compete than any other middle school in Tyler! GO HUSKIES!

Hubbard 6th Grade Preview Night is coming up on February 13th from 5:30 to 6:30 P.M.! We welcome all current 5th graders to come and see why you should COMMIT to the PACK. We will start in the main gym and will have performances from band, choir, cheer, and dance! We will also have booths for clubs, organizations, and all of the amazing things Hubbard has to offer. Scan the QR code for the agenda and a helpful campus map. Can't wait to see our future Huskies there! 🧡🐾

We participated in a service project making blankets for the CAC of Smith County.
We learned about skin care, mental health, did a little hip hop, made friendship bracelets and learned some self defense! We even got to meet Paralympic Swimmer McKenzie Coan!
Thank you, Junior League of Tyler! 💕

These 6th graders enjoyed an informational text review game of trashketball! These huskies truly are stars in their comprehension, inferencing, and basketball skills! 🏀🧡

Why and how do we communicate? Well...it all starts with our Brain! Students explored brain anatomy last week in Professional Communication. Habits, creativity, senses...it all matters in what area of the brain! Frontal lobes are working hard in 8th grade!

Don't forget tomorrow is College Colors Day, sponsored by AVID! 🎓🔵🟢🔴🟣🎓

This past week our Husky Choir and Orchestra performed at Rice and Andy Woods Elementary, as well as community Nursing Homes. They had fun spreading Holiday Cheer while encouraging 5th graders to participate in the Performing Arts!

The Husky Choir has been busy! From our Holiday Concert to our 1st Annual Girl's Movie Night to Secret Santa - there was loads of fun to be had this season!

A special shout out to our Husky Visual Artists who went above and beyond to make our campus festive!!

If you ever wanna test communication/relationships go buy yourself Tyleropoly! College and Career ended their Financial Literacy Unit with some much needed real life application. Parents ask your 8th graders what they learned about personal finances! Check writing was a hit :).

Say hello to our Husky December Musicians of the Month! They are outstanding musicians and leaders in the band, orchestra, and choir classrooms and we couldn't be more proud of their hard work! Also, because better late than never, we also have our November Musicians of the Month! Congratulations to all! 🎷🎻🎵

Thank you Hubbard PTA for the sweet treat!! 6th grade loves and appreciates all you do for us! We are The PACK!! 🧡🎄

Our Symphonic Band performed at Woods, Rice, Bell, and Clarkston Elementary Schools over the last 2 days. The future Huskies learned all about band, all the instruments, and 1 lucky student from each school got to conduct the band! Our Husky musicians had a blast performing and got to re-live their time in Elementary School at the park for some fun. Great job band! 🎶🎷🎺

The Symphonic Band delighted the beginning band with their Holiday Small Ensembles today. The music was learned and rehearsed in their small groups without a band director's help and they definitely put us in the holiday spirit. We were so impressed by how well they performed today! Go Huskies!

6th grade students enjoyed traveling to 8 different countries to learn about how Christmas is celebrated around the world! We are The PACK! 🌎🎄🧡
