Let's hear it for our April Teacher of the Month, Mrs. Chasity Alexander! Mrs. Alexander is a wonderful 8th grade teacher. She always has a model AVID classroom full of rigor, engagement, and structure. Her students love her, and her colleagues also appreciate her. She is a wonderful CILT team leader and a great collaborator. Chasity is an incredible advocate for students. She builds relationships and always finds strengths to grow their confidence. NURSE OLIVARES IS OUR HERO!!! We are so lucky to have the VERY BEST School Nurse at Hubbard and proud to recognize her as our April Staff Member of the Month. She is kind, empathetic and oh, so patient! She is thorough and detailed, often working before and after hours. She is also very positive, welcoming and always has a bright smile on her face! Nurse Olivares goes beyond her job duties for the kids and culture of Hubbard Middle School. She is a Trusted Adult to many students on campus and even helped Chaperone our 6th grade girls the Girl Power Summit! She also makes incredible Sourdough bread!!! He consistently goes above expectations to mentor students and staff while representing Hubbard Middle School with professionalism and dedication. Our 6th grade girls had the amazing opportunity to attend the annual Girl Power Summit today, hosted by the Junior League of Tyler.
We learned about skin care, nutrition, social media safety, self esteem, made crafty friendship bracelets and cute bag bows! We had a great morning workout and ended the day with some powerful journaling and goal setting! We left with awesome goodie bags filled with girl essentials! π©·
