Students got hands-on experience identifying metals, non-metals, and metalloids today in Mr. Thompson’s 6th grade Science class! It was great to see their “lightbulbs” come on, both literally and figuratively. This lab really helped them internalize conductivity, malleability, and luster! Go Huskies! 🧡🐾

AVID Tutorials are back in full swing. Students complete a Tutorial Request Form (TRF) over a problem they are confused. Their student peers then ask guiding questions to help lead their Student Presenter to understanding! This Socratic method ensures student learning, retention, and repetition is happening! Students in Ms. Veatch’s College and Career Readiness class begin independent research on their top three potential career options. They also are creating a “Highlight Me”’ presentation that include skills, passions, interests, etc. to assist in their future careers.
