This past Saturday several of our band students competed in the 2023 UIL Band Solo and Ensemble Contest where they performed a solo for a judge. It took an enormous amount of bravery and hard work to complete this contest and we are so proud of our musicians! Congratulations to all students who received a Superior rating! Way to go Huskies! π§‘πΎ

Our seventh grade students put on a βliving history museumβ today to kick off Black History Month! Students picked a historical figure and created an exhibit for their figure! Always proud of our Huskies! π§‘πΎ

Our 6th grade Huskies had the amazing opportunity to attend the annual Girl Power Summit today, hosted by the Junior League of Tyler. The mission of Girl Power is to encourage positive self esteem, promote a healthy lifestyle, inspire volunteerism and develop leadership potential.
They participated in a service project making blankets for the CAC of Smith County.
They learned about internet safety, mindfulness, did a little yoga and learned some self defense! They even got to meet Olympic Swimmer Natalie Hinds! Way to go Huskies! π§‘πΎππͺ

Congratulations to our 8A boysβ basketball team for taking home a W at the Mount Pleasant tournament this past weekend! First they crushed Sulphur Springs, then Mount Pleasant, and ended the tournament by decimating Boulter Middle School! Way to go Huskies! π§‘πΎπ

6th grade Huskies made ICE CREAM in Ms. Hardinβs and Mr. Thompsonβs science classes! They had a blast learning about chemical reactions, and even said their creations tasted delicious!
