Wild about being on time for school! We enjoyed a day of animals and animal prints!
Even small tardies add up! A few minutes late each morning can equal hours of lost reading, math, and learning time. Please make sure your student is here by 7:50am, daily.

Thank you to Rose Heights Church for sponsoring See You at the Pole!

A huge thank you to Mr. Warren & Southside Bank for their generous support and donation for our staff!
Our teachers have crushed the 1st 6 weeks of school! 🎉

5th grade enjoyed their trip to the East Texas State Fair yesterday! We are so grateful for our partnership with them in helping to give our kids great experiences! 🌾🐓🎟️

Cozy and committed! Our students showed up in their comfiest pajamas today to celebrate National Attendance Awareness Week—because great attendance never sleeps! 🌙✨ #AttendanceMatters #AttendanceAwarenessWeek
Every day matters! Even missing 2 days a month adds up to nearly a month of learning lost by the end of the year. Wake up & come to school! We ❤️ having our Cougars here daily!

Celebrate National Attendance Awareness Week with us—today we wore our favorite sports shirt or jersey and showed our team spirit while staying in school! 🏈 ⚽️ 🥅 🎾 Good attendance doesn’t happen alone. It’s a team effort between home and school to set students up for success. We appreciate our families working with us to get students to school by 7:50am daily!

➕➖ Marshmallow Math Fun! ➖➕
Our kindergarteners in Mrs. Busby’s class had a sweet time learning about one more and one less today! 🍬✨ Using marshmallows and task cards, students worked together in groups to practice building numbers, finding one more, and one less. 🧮
Not only did they strengthen their math skills, but they also practiced teamwork and problem-solving while having a blast! 🙌💡
Way to go, Mrs. Busby’s Kinder mathematicians—you’re proving learning can be both tasty and smart! 😋📚

🍂🍁 Leaf Detectives at Work! 🍁🍂
Our curious first graders had so much fun exploring the outdoors as the leaves began to fall. 🌳✨ They collected leaves and then worked together to sort them by size and shape—noticing all the little details that make each leaf unique. 🔍🍃
Hands-on learning like this helps students practice observation, classification, and critical thinking skills… all while enjoying the beauty of fall! 🍂💛
We are so proud of their excitement and teamwork! 🌟

📚✨ Goal-Getters in Action! ✨📚
Our amazing first graders in Ms. Blanca’s class were busy using their data binders to track progress and set new goals. 🙌 These students are learning the power of responsibility and focus at such a young age—talk about being goal driven! 💪
It’s so inspiring to see them take ownership of their learning, celebrate growth, and push themselves to reach new milestones. 🌟
👏 Way to go, Blanca’s class—you’re showing what hard work, perseverance, and determination look like every day!

Yeehaw! 🤠 For Rootin’ Tootin’ Tuesday, we’re tipping our hats to Ms. Thompson and Ms. Erika—2 of our amazing deaf and hard of hearing staff who show there’s nothing they *can’t* wrangle when it comes to supporting students. 🌟✨ #RootinTootinTuesday

Yesterday our fourth graders had a moo-velous time at the East Texas State Fair! 🐄🌽 From checking out livestock to learning all about agriculture, these future farmers got hands-on with the farm life. Who knew learning could be this fun? 🌾✨

Today was the first day of National Attendance Awareness Week! We celebrated by wearing hats🎩 🧢 👒 Being just 10 minutes late every day adds up to over a week of school missed by the end of the year. Every minute matters for learning!

Some of our 2nd & 5th grade students dove into hands-on learning today with exciting STEM stations! From engineering and coding to Legos, digital collages, and critical thinking games, they explored, created, and problem-solved their way through new challenges. 🚀💡 #STEMlearning #FutureInnovators

Ms. Browning’s 4th graders spent all week designing and building Texas Native American homes using recyclable materials and items from nature. 🌿♻️ After days of hard work and creativity, they finally finished their STEM projects—bringing history to life while thinking like true engineers! 👷♀️✨

Clarkston Cougars of all ages enjoyed dressing up for East Texas State Fair Roundup Day!
