Today we had a special visit from Officer Smedley and Scruff McGruff! They came to our library to celebrate Día del Libro by reading a story to our students — all in Spanish! Thank you for helping us promote the joy of reading and bilingual learning!
Our Día del Libro celebration was made even more special with a wonderful performance of Hansel and Gretel by our talented middle schoolers! Directed by Ms. Hancock and Ms. Thompson, the play brought the classic story to life for our Birdwell community. We are so proud of our students and grateful to our directors for their hard work and creativity!

Our 3rd–8th grade students had a blast at today’s STAAR Pep Rally! Legacy’s cheerleaders and drum line brought the energy, and our Birdwell teachers wowed the crowd with a surprise dance! After the rally, students shared cards of encouragement with one another to help boost confidence and spread positivity. We believe in you, Birdwell!!⭐️
