school board receiving check from Tyler ISD foundation

The Tyler ISD Foundation presented the district with a check for more than $105,000 at tonight’s school board meeting. The Foundation provides resources to inspire learning, enrich teaching, and enhance opportunities for Tyler ISD students through the support of exemplary programs.

Thanks to the generosity of donors, sponsors, and community partners, the Tyler ISD Foundation recently awarded 29 grants to educators (nearly $86k) through the Grants for Great Ideas program and one grant ($20k), in partnership with TC Energy Foundation, to Jones Elementary School.

The Grants for Great Ideas program provides resources to fund individual and teams of educators for innovative and creative projects intended to enrich classrooms and support student achievement. Jones Elementary School grant funds will be used to enrich the reading and STEAM curriculum for all students.

These grant funds will allow educators on 17 campuses to positively impact more than 12,000 successful student outcomes across the district.
