Before going into Christmas Break, Jones Elementary had a wonderful reason to celebrate as cheers of excitement filled the air when staff and students at Jones Elementary were surprised with a generous grant! Dr. NaTasha Crain and the Jones Jaguars were presented by the Tyler ISD Foundation with a $20,000 grant from TC Energy, a major North American energy company.
The purpose of this grant will be to support campus and district reading goals and initiatives. This will include furnishing and building classroom libraries with district approved culturally relevant literature, hosting campus events to increase literacy development bridging the connection between home and school as well increasing parental involvement with campus events that support literacy. Congratulations to Dr. Crain and her campus!
