Congratulations to our District Teacher of Month, 2nd grade RLA teacherTaylor Green, from Jack Elementary School. Ms. Green stepped into a new role this year, taking on teaching reading for 2nd grade. Her commitment to implementing the new Reading Horizons program in her classroom has already impacted growth and instruction for the Jack Patriots.

She has also taken on several leadership roles on campus. She organizes service learning projects for staff and students. This year her heart has led her to brainstorm and organize ways the Jack staff can directly give back to the community. "On October 1st we participated in volunteering at the East Texas Food Bank for a few hours," Jack Principal Brett Shelby said. "She headed up the mission and truly characterizes what it means to Learn, Lead, and Serve as an educator in Tyler ISD."
