Jones Elementary School held a Fall Book Fair and Family Literacy Night, and The Tyler ISD Literacy Bus was one of the main attractions. Students, teachers, and even Principal Crain enjoyed a book on board the colorful vehicle in a nook.
This special event allowed time to explore the Scholastic Book Fair, literacy displays, and their classrooms transformed into maker's spaces. Parents enjoyed one-on-one time with their children and attended a "Raising Readers" workshop, learning ways to work on reading at home. Characters from favorite stories like The Cat in the Hat served dinner, and the children were also encouraged to dress in costume.
