Tyler Legacy High School senior athletes signed letters of intent to play women's basketball (3) and men’s soccer (2) at the collegiate level today. The signing ceremony took place in the varsity gym before the athletes' families, coaches, and teammates.

Tyler Legacy athletes signing letters of intent include:

Akya Turner, Basketball – McMurray University
2nd Team All-District, Academic All-District
Academic All-State

Tyler Legacy Women's Basketball Head Coach Ross Barber: McMurray University is getting a solid forward with very good footwork and a high IQ on defense. I believe Akya will continue to develop at the next level and be a contributing factor for McMurray next season.

Aaliyah Campbell, Basketball – Angelina Junior College
District MVP, District Offensive MVP, District Newcomer of the Year
Academic All-District
TABC All-Region

Tyler Legacy Women's Basketball Head Coach Ross Barber: Angelina is getting a very skilled player with a very high basketball IQ. Aaliyah can play on both ends of the floor and, offensively for us, has played the 1-4 at any given time. She loves to stay in the gym and improve her game. I believe she will thrive at Angelina.

Nyla Inmon, Basketball – McLennan Community College Two-time First Team All-District Hoops for Autism All-Star, Azalea Orthopedics All-Star
All East Texas

Tyler Legacy Women's Basketball Head Ross Barber: Nyla is a great competitor and will bring that to her team. I can't wait to see how far this kid will go!

Hansen Anderson, Boys Soccer - Masters University (CA) 4-year Letterman, Team Captain, Back-to-Back District Champion (21 &22), Second Team All-District, Academic All-District, Academic All-State

Tyler Legacy Men’s Soccer Coach Martin Germany:  Masters University is getting a quality player who can play multiple positions on the field. Hansen reads the game well and has a huge upside on the field as a player who started transitioning from being a goalkeeper to a field player a couple of years ago. He will continue to grow and progress as a player in the increasing competitive college environment. They will be getting a great leader as well!

Hansen will be the third Anderson to attend Masters and play soccer following his dad, Mark Anderson, and his brother, Price Anderson.

Esteban Rodriguez, Boys Soccer - Texas A&M - Texarkana  3-year Letterman, Team Captain, Back-to-Back District Champion (21 &22), District 10-6A Defensive Player of the Year, TASCO Second Team All-Region

Tyler Legacy Men’s Soccer Coach Martin Germany: TAMU-Texarkana is getting a skillful center back who can also play in the midfield. Esteban does a nice job of reading the flow of the game and putting himself in a good position to win the ball. Esteban will be a great addition to the Eagles program and should be able to compete at the collegiate level immediately.
