Tyler Legacy High School Southern Belles surround trophies earned at contest

The Tyler Legacy High School Southern Belles had a massive send-off on campus as they headed to San Antonio to the Alamo Dance Classic. There the Belles would compete against numerous drill teams from across Texas.

After a long day of competing at Karen Wagner High School, they had a very successful day! The Southern Belle officers won their division and placed 2nd out of the entire contest (by one point).

The Southern Belle Red Team also won their division and placed 2nd out of the contest. (by three points).

The Southern Belle White Team won 2nd  runner up in their division.

Other winners included:

One trio placed 1st runner up and won the trio division for the entire contest, junior soloist Mallory Craft, won 2nd runner up in her division. Captain, Truleigh Trosclair, won her division and got in the top three soloists of the entire contest.

"The girls were exhausted but were excited about how our day played out,” Southern Belles Drill Team Director Rachel Bumgardner, said.  "I was ecstatic with their performance, and I was so proud of them. We made sure that we provided some extra activities in and around San Antonio. They deserved to let loose and have some fun after the months of intense practice required to compete at their highest level. It was a wonderful weekend filled with outstanding accomplishments and making wonderful memories together!"
