Caldwell students play instruments on stage

It was an evening focused on food, art, and one of the most creative musical figures of the 20th century.

Caldwell Arts Academy Black History Month Presentation Innervisions:  A Tribute to Stevie Wonder was the vision of Caldwell Star Jabryn Carston. The lobby filled up fast as patrons moved through the gallery adorned by local artists' works while enjoying Sum 2 Eat and Uncle Jack's food.

The show opened with the Caldwell Star Band, who made several appearances throughout the night to accompany the students during their performances on stage.  All chose their favorite inspirational songs to pay tribute to the icon.

Other entertainment included an upbeat and energetic song set from the Caldwell Drumline under the direction of Therabeats Trent Spradline and Travis Supthen.

The Praise Dance Team from College Hills Missionary performed a moving and synchronized dance piece in front of a beautiful backdrop.  The Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity hit the stage to provide historical information and share their vigorous and spirited moves.

Otis and the Metro Band featuring George Faber provided the evening's big performance.
