This morning, it was a packed house in the theatre at Legacy High School. Friends, family, coaches, and players arrived before school to watch Donavan Jordan sign to continue his next-level football career at Lamar University. When asked why he chose Lamar, Donavan said, "I like the coaches; they not only cared about my athletic performance but focused on my academics. That was an important piece in making my decision."

Head Coach Joe Willis opened with remarks about Donavan's recruitment process and acknowledged the player's stats on the offensive line as a 3-year starter. Including 28 pancakes, 37 knockdowns, and 4 sacks allowed. Donavan's mother and sister sat beside him when he made it official with his signature, and his teammates waited in a long line to take a memorable selfie with the athlete. His mom was so proud of her son and thanked the other families who had been his teammates since middle school for their support. It was fitting that the morning ended with a big hug!
