Tyler Legacy High School senior Kah’Lil Montague is the new UIL 6A Division 1 Powerlifting State Champion. Facing competition from Cleburne, McAllen, Odessa, and other powerhouses, Montague claimed the championship with a total of 1,885 pounds (750 squat, 585 bench, 550 deadlift).

Celebrating his success on Twitter, Montague tweeted, “Thank you to everyone for all the support and the well wishes. I also would like to thank my coaches, especially @coachcope42 and @bryanderson22, for helping me not only get better in football but become a state champ. Would not happen if it weren’t for them.”
