Tyler ISD joins districts across the country in celebrating Career and Technical Education Month®, or CTE Month®, and the achievements and accomplishments of CTE programs.
Career and Technical Education, or CTE, is education that directly prepares students for high-wage, high-demand careers. CTE covers many different fields, including health care, information technology, advanced manufacturing, hospitality and management, and more.
“In Tyler ISD, we offer students 26 programs of study in a variety of pathways that prepare students to either continue on a collegiate path or enter directly into the workforce after graduating high school,” Career and Technology Center Director Gary Brown said. “Our students earn industry certifications that make them marketable to top companies in our community. Career and Technical Education programs help prepare students for success in whatever path they choose.”
