Tyler ISD Launches New Podcast Series

Tyler ISD is adding a new podcast to its list of communication vehicles designed to keep parents and the community informed of the latest news from around the District. Hosted by Executive Director of Communications Jennifer Hines, the Talks with Tyler ISD podcast series will feature a variety of guests with each episode focusing on specific topics that cover everything from district-wide objectives and initiatives to inspiring stories from our own students and classroom teachers.

Talks with Tyler ISD is a podcast about the passionate people who have a heart for students,” Hines said. “Tyler ISD is more than bricks and buildings. It’s made up of a big family of teachers, students, coaches, administrators, and so much more. We want to highlight those people and share the experiences that connect each of us in the Tyler ISD community.”

In the first episode available Friday, October 30, Superintendent Dr. Marty Crawford talks about how the District continues to adapt and deliver during the COVID pandemic. Dr. Crawford shares a behind the scenes look at what happened from the moment Governor Greg Abbott shut down school districts statewide last Spring through the opening of schools, and now looking forward, what it will take to get back on track and how the District is adapting now to meet the futuristic educational needs of our students.

Talks with Tyler ISD episodes will publish every two weeks and are available to stream on Apple Podcast and Spotify or at TylerISD.org/podcast.
