Congratulations to Don'yae Cooper, 8th grade student at Hubbard Middle School, for being named District Secondary Student of the Month.
Don’yae exemplifies what it means to be a hardworking, kind, respectful, and positive student. Whether in the classroom, on the football field, in choir, or in the community, he consistently gives his best and makes a meaningful impact on those around him.
A dedicated athlete, Don’yae is known for his strong work ethic, teamwork, and sportsmanship. His social studies teacher describes him as a “quiet leader” who works diligently, supports his teammates, and leads by example. He also excels in Honors Tenor/Bass Choir, where he is described as patient, friendly, and exceptionally talented. In the classroom, he takes pride in his grades and demonstrates integrity, responsibility, and perseverance.
What truly sets Don’yae apart is his character. He is a thoughtful family member, supportive teammate, dependable friend, and someone who genuinely enjoys helping others. His classmates describe him as someone who “spreads positivity,” “kindness,” and “joy,” and say he makes everyone around him feel better.
Don’yae’s talent, leadership, work ethic, and character make him an exceptional Student of the Month candidate and a wonderful representative of Hubbard Middle School and Tyler ISD.
The Tyler ISD District Students of the Month each receive a certificate and medal, sponsored by CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System.
Each month, Tyler ISD recognizes the exemplary efforts of two students, one from our elementary schools and one from our secondary schools, to be honored. Teachers and school principals submit nominations based on students' excellence in many areas, including academics, leadership, campus, and community involvement. These outstanding qualities lead to successful student outcomes both in and outside of the classroom.
