The Tyler ISD Athletic Department is proud to announce Katelyn Sepmoree as the first inductee into the 2026 Tyler ISD Athletic Hall of Fame. Sepmoree was recognized during halftime of the Mesquite vs. Tyler Legacy football game on September 11 at CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium for her outstanding athletic career and accomplishments.
A 2009 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School (REL), Sepmoree was a standout member of the Lady Raiders golf team. She helped lead the team to back-to-back 12-5A district championships in 2008 and 2009.

As a senior in 2009, Sepmoree became the first Lady Raider in 13 years to qualify for the UIL State Golf Tournament. She shot a two-round total of 142 at the 2009 UIL 5A Girls Golf State Tournament, earning a second-place finish.
Beyond the golf course, Sepmoree was an accomplished student and active member of the REL community. She was a member of the National Honor Society, Junior Symphony League, Spanish Club, and Health Occupations Students of America.
Sepmoree continued her golf career at The University of Texas at Austin (UT), where she competed for the Longhorns and established herself as one of the top collegiate golfers in the country. During her collegiate career, she qualified for the NCAA National Championships in 2012 and 2013, finished among the top eight at the 2013 U.S. Womenβs Amateur Golf Championship, earned All-Big 12 honors in 2013 and All-Region honors in 2012, and was a member of UTβs 2011 Big 12 Championship team.
She also finished runner-up at the Texas Womenβs Amateur Golf Tournament and was named to the UT-Austin Athletic Director Academic Honor Roll for four consecutive seasons.
Following her collegiate career, Sepmoree continued to make history in the professional ranks. She became the first woman to win a section major in the North Texas PGA Section, the first woman to earn a spot on the North Texas Levy Cup team, and the first woman from the North Texas PGA Section to qualify for the PGA Players Championship.
In 2017, Sepmoree finished runner-up at the FireKeepers Hotel Championship and went on to record 10 career top-10 finishes on the Symetra Tour. More recently, she captured the 2025 PGA Womenβs Stroke Play Championship and competed in the 2025 KPMG Womenβs PGA Championship.
