Tyler ISD’s Early College High School (ECHS) has been named a Texas Education Agency and Educate Texas College and Career Readiness School Models (CCRSM) Designated with Distinction campus, one of the highest recognitions awarded to schools demonstrating excellence in preparing students for college, careers, and military readiness.

The prestigious distinction recognizes campuses that go above and beyond in creating strong pathways for student success through innovative programming, academic rigor, workforce preparation, and meaningful partnerships with higher education institutions and industry leaders.

ECHS earned the designation for its commitment to providing students with opportunities to graduate high school while simultaneously earning college credit, certifications, and valuable career experience. Through its partnership-driven model, students are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive beyond graduation.

β€œThis recognition reflects the incredible dedication of our students, teachers, staff, and partners who work tirelessly to create life-changing opportunities for our scholars every day,” ECHS Principal Amanda Hortman said. β€œAt ECHS, we believe every student deserves access to rigorous academics, meaningful support, and pathways that prepare them for success in college, careers, and life. Being named a CCRSM Designated with Distinction campus is an honor that celebrates the collective efforts of our entire school community.”

The CCRSM network, supported by the Texas Education Agency and Educate Texas, recognizes schools across the state that demonstrate exceptional outcomes in college and career readiness while maintaining a focus on equitable access and student achievement.

Tyler ISD continues to expand opportunities for students through innovative academic programs designed to prepare graduates for an increasingly competitive and evolving workforce. Early College High School’s latest recognition further highlights the district’s commitment to empowering students to achieve success beyond the classroom.
