Congratulations to our District Elementary Teacher of Month, Bobby Brotherton, PE teacher at Ramey Elementary School.
For Coach Bobby Brotherton, teaching goes far beyond the gymnasium. Coach Brotherton has become a steady and encouraging presence at Ramey Elementary School through his commitment to students, leadership development, and campus culture.
Known for building strong relationships with students, Coach Brotherton consistently finds ways to celebrate their accomplishments and support them both inside and outside of school. Whether he is recognizing a studentβs success during the school day or attending extracurricular events to cheer them on, his dedication helps students feel valued, encouraged, and connected. His positive presence has helped create an environment where students know they are supported by someone who genuinely cares about their growth and success.
Coach Brothertonβs work also reflects the values of the βRamey Way,β a campus culture focused on leadership, responsibility, and service. He maintains high expectations for students while creating meaningful opportunities for them to lead. One example is his initiative that allows fourth-grade students to mentor Kindergarten students as they learn to ride bicycles. Through this experience, older students develop confidence, patience, and responsibility while younger students gain encouragement and support from their peers.
Although physical education is his classroom, Coach Brothertonβs impact reaches every corner of the campus. His ability to inspire students, encourage leadership, and strengthen relationships among grade levels has contributed to a positive and connected school culture at Ramey Elementary.
Through his dedication and servant leadership, Coach Brotherton continues to make a lasting difference in the lives of students and staff each day.
