The Texas First Congressional Service Award honors students across the region who exemplify a strong commitment to service, recognizing those who go above and beyond to give back. Recipients demonstrate initiative, compassion, and a desire to improve the lives of others; qualities that reflect the spirit of servant leadership.

"I am so proud to recognize these Tyler ISD students who have shown us what it truly means to serve others, not for recognition, but because it's the right thing to do,” Congressman Moran said. β€œTheir selflessness and dedication to their communities embody the spirit of East Texas, and they are exactly the kind of young leaders our region can be proud of. It's my privilege to honor them with the First Congressional District of Texas Award, and I look forward to seeing the impact they continue to make.

Through a variety of service projects and leadership roles, Cook, Harris, Austin, and Taylor have each contributed their time and talents to causes that strengthen their schools and community. Their efforts reflect the values of responsibility, empathy, and civic pride that Tyler ISD strives to instill in all students.

Tyler ISD congratulates these exceptional students on this well-deserved honor and commends them for their continued commitment to making a difference.

The Texas First Congressional Service Award is not a scholarship, but a distinct honor designed to recognize students in the First Congressional District of Texas who have demonstrated a strong commitment to service.
