Dear Tyler ISD Family,

As we continue to plan for the upcoming 2020-21 school year, we want to share with you the latest Return to Learn information. This update includes:

  • Return to Learn Plan
  • Instructional Options
  • Parent and Staff Return to Learn Surveys
  • Boys and Girls Club After School Program Registration

Return to Learn Plan

Superintendent Dr. Marty Crawford will present a summary of the Tyler ISD Return to Learn Plan to the Tyler ISD Board of Trustees during their regular monthly Board meeting Monday, July 20. The plan will include instructional, health, and safety guidelines the District will follow. We plan to release a DRAFT of the Return to Learn Plan to parents, students, and staff on Thursday, July 23.

Instructional Options

The Tyler ISD Blended Learning and Digital Education (BLADE) program provides two instructional options for Tyler ISD students for the 2020-2021 school:

  • In-School Instruction
  • Learn@Home Digital Instruction

Through BLADE, students and teachers can effectively transition between the two instructional models when necessary. Tyler ISD recommends In-School instruction due to its numerous academic, social, and emotional benefits. However, parents may choose the learning option they feel is best for their student(s).

More information about instructional standards, protocols, and requirements will be provided soon.

Parents and Staff Return to Learn Surveys

We appreciate everyone’s feedback provided in the Parent/Guardian and Student Return to Learn survey! Your responses, along with our Staff survey, are key considerations as we prepare for the new school year.
