Tyler ISD, in collaboration with the Texas Workforce Commission Vocational Rehabilitation Services, is proud to recognize Fuzzy’s Taco Shop as the January 2026 B.R.I.D.G.E. Partner of the Month. This honor celebrates Fuzzy’s ongoing dedication to meaningful work-based learning for students in the LINK 18+ program at Tyler ISD.
Fuzzy’s Taco Shop welcomes LINK students for internships four days each week, providing hands-on experiences in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting. Students like Brianna and Victoria are gaining practical skills and workplace confidence through everyday restaurant tasks. Brianna shared that she enjoys mopping, wiping down tables, and refilling the sauce bottles. Victoria said her favorite duties include wiping down tables, cleaning the windows, and washing dishes. These routine responsibilities teach responsibility, teamwork, and attention to detail—skills that transfer directly to future employment.
Fuzzy’s Taco Shop’s company values — including Pride in Our People, Dish Out & Give Back, and Local is How We Roll — align closely with the goals of the B.R.I.D.G.E. partnership. Their belief that team members are family, commitment to giving back, and focus on building community create a welcoming environment where LINK students can learn, contribute, and be valued.

Through structured internships and supported work experiences, students can apply classroom lessons in real-world settings, build independence, and prepare for future career success.
LINK 18+ Instructor, Melissa Reynolds, emphasizes the powerful impact of such partnerships. Work-based learning placements—whether wiping tables, restocking condiments, or maintaining kitchen equipment—help students practice consistency, follow directions, and engage with coworkers and customers. Fuzzy’s Taco Shop’s team has created a supportive space where small daily tasks translate into meaningful growth.
