Congratulations to our District Elementary Teacher of Month, Maggie Thompson, a 4th grade Reading Language Arts teacher at Ramey Elementary School.

Mrs. Thompson’s classroom is a place where students feel seen, challenged, and supported each day. She is deeply committed to building strong relationships and fostering a sense of belonging, which allows students to take academic risks and grow with confidence. Her passion for literacy goes beyond textbooks, as she continually finds creative ways to make reading relevant and meaningful.
One of the most special features of her classroom is the dining room table she uses during small group instruction. “Some of my family’s best memories were made around the kitchen table, and I wanted to bring that into my classroom for my students as well,” Mrs. Thompson shared. That simple yet powerful choice reflects her heart as an educator. By leading with purpose, connection, and care, Mrs. Thompson creates a classroom that feels like home while inspiring academic success.
