Caldwell Arts Academy has embraced a true season of service, with students across grade levels participating in meaningful community projects led by the campus Leader in Me action teams. Through hands-on experiences, students are learning the value of giving back while making a direct impact on families throughout Tyler.

The Student Lighthouse Team kicked off the effort with an act of compassion just steps from campus, serving a hot meal at the Feed My Lambs soup kitchen. Located across the street from Caldwell, the kitchen provides meals to community members who rely on the organization throughout the week. Students assisted volunteers, greeted guests, and gained a deeper understanding of the importance of service and empathy.

Caldwell’s younger students also stepped up. Second graders collected canned goods and meal items for Arula’s Hope, assembling 11 complete meal boxes to support families in need during the holiday season. Their efforts not only stocked shelves but also spread warmth and care during a time when many need it most.

Meanwhile, third graders hosted a highly successful noodle drive for the Tyler ISD Care Closet, donating 326 cups of noodles. These items will be included in weekend food bags for students across the district.

Together, these projects reflect Caldwell’s commitment to leadership, kindness, and community.
