Tyler Legacy High School celebrated the signings of two student-athletes as they pledged their letters of intent to play collegiately on Wednesday morning. The signing ceremony took place in the varsity gymnasium, attended by the athletes’ families, coaches, and teammates.

Joy Bryner, Girls Soccer – The University of Texas at Dallas

Accolades: 10-6A Defensive Player of the Year (2025), TASCO All-State Honorable Mention (2025), Team Defensive Player of the Year (2025), Academic All-District (2024, 2025), Team Most Improved (2024), Team Captain

Tyler Legacy Head Coach Chris Woodard: β€œJoy is a versatile player who has worked extremely hard to reach her goals. She is a hard worker with an endless engine and has improved every year while at Tyler Legacy. She is a great teammate, very coachable, and is a leader by example. We are looking for her to have a great senior year, and UT Dallas is getting a steal with her for their program.”

Taylor Woods, Volleyball – Louisiana Tech University

Accolades: TSWA All-State Honorable Mention (2024), two-time first team all-district selection, All-Rose Country selection, 1000 career kills, 500 career digs, 100 career blocks

Tyler Legacy Head Coach Leo Scott: β€œTaylor is a ferocious competitor who can carry any team that she’s a part of. She also possesses the ability to keep her team in the game overall. This season, she not only led the team in kills, but was also second in aces, digs, and serve receive percentage. Tyler Legacy will truly miss Taylor’s leadership and commitment to excellence.
