Jones Elementary students celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a vibrant showcase of culture, music, and unity. The school kicked off the celebration with a lively performance by Mexico 2000, an exciting dance troupe known for performing traditional dances from across Mexico. As part of the Young Audiences program, Mexico 2000 brought the beauty and energy of Mexican culture to life through colorful costumes, spirited movement, and rhythmic music that captivated students and staff alike.

Following the performance, Jones students took center stage to continue the celebration. Second graders performed a festive song and dance, filling the room with joy and pride. Fifth graders then impressed the audience with their powerful bucket drum performance, demonstrating the teamwork and creativity developed through Jones Elementary’s after-school drumline program in partnership with Young Audiences.
