The halls of Bell Elementary School were filled with excitement as residents from The Hamptons of Tyler Senior Living made a special delivery of school supplies. Because of their kindness, students and families were able to choose from a wide selection of backpacks, crayons, markers, pencils, and more during Meet the Teacher.

The donations were the result of a weeks-long collection effort, with contributions pouring in from Hamptons residents, team members, visiting family, and community partners. The generosity was evident in the colorful stacks of supplies, each item chosen with a student’s success in mind.

Members from The Hamptons included longtime former Tyler ISD teacher Frances Standfield.

β€œGive them a good reason, and this group always shows up,” said Rob Jones, Executive Director of The Hamptons of Tyler. β€œMany were teachers, parents, or volunteers in schools for years, so helping students now just feels like a natural extension of what they’ve always done.”

As the Bell Elementary staff welcomed the visitors, heartfelt thanks were shared for the thoughtful donation. What began as a simple collection drive became a meaningful reminder of how community connectionsβ€”whether across the street or across generationsβ€”can make a lasting difference.
