Congratulations to Arihanna Griffin, a seventh-grade student at Three Lakes Middle School, for being named the District Secondary Student of the Month.

Arihanna is recognized for her exceptional achievements as a student-athlete who exemplifies the values of hard work, perseverance, and integrity.

Whether she’s in the classroom or on the court, Arihanna gives her all, consistently pushing herself to excel and encouraging others to do the same.

A talented volleyball and basketball player, Arihanna brings passion, focus, and leadership to every game. Her natural ability is matched by her discipline and resilience. She inspires her teammates with her sportsmanship and steady presence under pressure.

In the classroom, Arihanna is just as impressive. She maintains strong grades, approaches learning with curiosity, and actively contributes to class discussions. Her positive attitude and willingness to support her peers make her a valued member of the school community.

What sets Arihanna apart is her ability to balance the rigorous demands of academics and athletics, all while remaining kind, driven, and humble. She is a role model for her peers and a shining example of what it means to lead with heart and determination.

The Tyler ISD District Students of the Month each receive a certificate and medal, sponsored by CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System.

Each month, Tyler ISD recognizes the exemplary efforts of two students, one from our elementary schools and one from our secondary schools, to be honored. Teachers and school principals submit nominations based on students' excellence in many areas, including academics, leadership, campus, and community involvement. These outstanding qualities lead to successful student outcomes both in and outside of the classroom.
