Congratulations to Silas Stephenson, a fourth-grade student at Jones Elementary School, on being named the District Elementary Student of the Month.
Silas is recognized for his outstanding character, dedication, and community involvement.
Silasβs favorite Leader in Me habit is Habit 3: Put First Things First. He believes in the importance of hard work before enjoying leisure time, as it makes him more responsible and helps him stay focused on what matters most.
Outside the classroom, Silas is involved in his community. He plays football, actively helps around the house, and picks up trash to contribute to the cleanliness of his surroundings. His dedication to helping others and maintaining a positive environment shows his strong sense of responsibility.
Looking to the future, Silas dreams of becoming an architect or engineer. His goal is to help build communities that provide homes and support for homeless people, showing his passion for creating lasting change in the lives of others.
Silas wants to be remembered as a good, honest person who always makes others feel welcome. His kindness, work ethic, and dedication to helping those around him are just a few of the many reasons we are proud to call him this monthβs Elementary Student of the Month.
The Tyler ISD District Students of the Month each receive a certificate and medal, sponsored by CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System.
Each month, Tyler ISD recognizes the exemplary efforts of two students, one from our elementary schools and one from our secondary schools, to be honored. Teachers and school principals submit nominations based on students' excellence in many areas, including academics, leadership, campus, and community involvement. These outstanding qualities lead to successful student outcomes both in and outside of the classroom.
