Tyler Legacy senior Taylor Henry is honored to have her artwork chosen as a part of the prestigious 2023 Texas Art Education Association's Youth Art Month Exhibition. Taylor's piece will be showcased at the Bullock Museum throughout March and on the museum's website in recognition of National Youth Art Month.

"This was made with a feeling in mind that any student would appreciate," Taylor said. “The consuming feeling of wanting to prioritize grades above creativity. A mind-numbing state of being where what matters starts to lose color."

The exhibition provides an opportunity for students to showcase their artistic talents and offers a platform for recognition and celebration. Students, nominated by their teachers, will participate in an awards ceremony at the Bullock Museum in March. Additionally, the Office of the First Lady of Texas curates a selection of artworks from each year's youth exhibition for display at the Governor's Business Office for an entire year.

Organized by the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA), the Youth Art Month Exhibition celebrates artistic achievements from Pre-K through 12th-grade students across the state of Texas.
