National School Counseling Week was a momentous occasion for Tyler ISD, your hometown district, as counselors were celebrated and honored for their unwavering commitment to supporting students. The week-long celebration included a special catered luncheon and generous contributions from Tyler ISD Success Partners, Applebee's, Rotolo's, and la Madeleine.

More than 50 dedicated counselors were recognized for their invaluable contributions to our successful student outcomes. The event brought counselors together to enjoy a moment of camaraderie and a break from the often challenging and demanding nature of their roles from guiding them through college and career decisions to offering crucial support for mental health challenges, counselors are integral members of the education system.

In Tyler ISD, the celebration of National School Counseling Week served as a reminder of the importance of these professionals in the lives of students. It also highlighted the collaborative efforts between the school district and Success Partners like Applebee's, Rotolo's, and la Madeleine in creating a supportive and appreciative environment for counselors.

“I am so thankful for these dedicated individuals who selflessly serve our students,” Lauri Anderson, Tyler ISD Director of Guidance and Counseling said. “Additionally, my executive assistant Valerie Ford went above and beyond helping coordinate the luncheon and acknowledging our terrific team with individual treats each day.”
