middle school band students playing instruments in the gymnasium

Congratulations to the Three Lakes Middle School Band, recipient of the Peter R. Marsh Foundation Grant, designed to assist and enhance their performances for senior and rehab communities in our area. This grant represents the third consecutive year their young musicians will be able to perform for senior citizens in the community. Playing songs by famous and recognizable composers in an intimate, in-person setting proves Tyler ISD provides a small-town feel with big-city opportunities.

“We are very proud of the Three Lakes Gator Band’s partnership over the last few years with both the Peter R. Marsh Foundation and our senior/rehab community, namely The Heights of Tyler,“ said Three Lakes Middle School Band Director Brian Persinger. “We look forward to performing and cultivating relationships throughout the year!”

After receiving their official congratulations for grant approval from the Peter R. Marsh Foundation, they will receive $1,000 for their program.

Students will follow The Music Grant Guidelines and Conditions (https://www.prmfoundation.org/music-grant/), which are essential to accomplish by the end of the academic year (or no later than June 15), including submission of the Grant Performance Report after all required performances are complete.

The Peter R. Marsh Foundation provides an annual program for high schools, as well. Details about this national program, the “Silent Servant Scholarship Award,” are also posted on the Foundation’s website.
