Tyler ISD recognizes excellence in teaching that exists at every campus through participation in the "Teacher of the Year" awards program. This program, aligned with the state and national level programs, honors outstanding public educators and is coordinated by the Department of Communications and Public Relations.
About the Banquet
The Teacher of the Year Banquet celebrates campus teachers of the year before announcing the District Elementary and Secondary Teachers of the Year.
Other honors awarded include District Rookie of the Year and District Principal of the Year.
Cooperative Teachers Credit Union is the title sponsor for the event.
