Teacher Allotment- $150
The Instructional Resource Center provides each classroom teacher, librarian, counselor, instructional specialist, visiting teacher, speech pathologist, principal, assistant principal, and nurse an allotment of $150 for use of materials and services at the Center. Funds are not transferable to other personnel and do not carry over from year-to-year.
Use of funds is for preparation of classroom or library projects. Materials must be made at the IRC—supplies are not to be carried out for classroom or student use. Teachers are responsible for preparation of their own materials—assistance is given if needed.
Due to liability, children accompanying parents must be seated, either reading or coloring, during their visit in the IRC. There is a small table with materials for entertainment as well as a TV near the entrance of the IRC. Children are not allowed to use the dies, laminators or cutting devices. We only have your child’s safety in mind during their visit to the IRC.
All teacher allotment accounts are available on a computer near the entrance to the IRC. The IRC staff enters all of the information that you provide when completing your supply allotment sheet, and the computer automatically calculates your current allotment balance. In order for the IRC to keep you balance correct and up-to-date, please fully complete the information on the supply form. Please help us keep our records current by letting us know of a name change or a change of school location. If you are a new teacher in TISD, let the IRC staff know your date of employment, which will determine the amount you receive for your allotment.
