Why Apply?

Your child will begin their full school experience on campus just like they will attend as they get older.  They will have access to all campus resources including the library, computer labs, cafeteria, classroom technology, as well as art and music experiences in a fun environment - all with qualified teachers and staff that genuinely care about your child's success and well-being.

The unique experience of Tyler ISD Pre-K is that your child is attending school and learning how to be part of a campus community into which they can grow.  Parents will have the opportunity to meet with their child's teacher throughout the year to monitor learning progress.

Also, if your Pre-K child has siblings at the elementary campus, they will have the same arrival and dismissal time, easing transportation schedules for your family. By the end of Pre-K, your child will receive everything they need to be fully prepared for kindergarten.

Social-Emotional Learning

We develop your child's social-emotional learning with lessons and play opportunities throughout the day.  Our teachers work and plan with kindergarten teachers, so they know exactly what their students will need to be successful.

Ready for School

Learning the ABC's is really important, but our Pre-K takes learning to the next level with letter sounds, word recognition, reading skills, and even writing simple sentences. Our Pre-K is designed specifically to prepare students for kindergarten and beyond, with deep, enriching hands-on learning experiences in math, reading, science, and social studies, with embedded technology.
