HOMEOSTASIS
Mrs. Gomezβs class experienced homeostasis in action!
After running or walking, studentsβ bodies showed signs of changeβlike faster heart rates, higher temperatures, and lower blood sugar. The body responded by sweating, breathing faster, and releasing hormones to bring things back to normal.
After eating at WingStop, their blood sugar rose, and the body released insulin to restore balance.
These activities helped students see how the body keeps a stable internal environment.
